Key responsibilities and accountabilities An opening in the Global Technology & Operations organization for a developer/analyst to support the Client Services and Client Delivery teams. The ideal candidate would have a strong background using the Microsoft BI & SQL Server suite of products (SSRS/Power BI Paginated, Power BI Desktop, and SSMS), proven experience using cloud database technologies, as well high-level business knowledge in the area of investment products and compliance. The candidate will work directly with business partners throughout the development lifecycle, from the requirements gathering stage through post implementation support. In addition, the candidate will work closely with Global and GCC personnel to develop and enhance offerings in our portfolio of products. This team member will be influential in designing, developing, and deploying Barings new digital reporting platform, working with cutting edge Business Intelligence and Reporting tools to reduce time to delivery, increase efficiency, and empower self-service data access. Knowledge, skills and abilities Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree. A major in design, engineering, business, finance, data analytics, data science, statistics, mathematics, and/or computer science preferred, but not required with demonstrated experience in field. • Minimum 4 years of hands-on tabular data modeling (SSAS, AAS, or PBI Premium) and relational / non-relational databases. • 4+ years full-time Microsoft Power BI and/or SSRS, as a data engineer or report/visualization developer • Expert understanding of DAX: Calculated Columns, Measures, Formulas, Filters, and Contexts • Skilled in information visualization and a design discipline such as: graphic, industrial, interactive, service, UX, and/or visual. Understanding of Gestalt design principles is a plus (proximity, similarity, etc.) • Demonstrable experience working with cloud data and architecture, preferably Microsoft Azure
