Power Bi Developer

Roles and Responsibilities:

A highly skilled Power BI Engineer to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data models that empower decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data visualization principles, SQL, and business intelligence best practices, with hands-on experience in transforming raw data into actionable insights using Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy scalable Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.

Build and maintain data models (Star/Snowflake schemas) and DAX measures for analytical insights.

Integrate and transform data from multiple sources including SQL databases, APIs, JDBC/ODBC connections and cloud services (Azure, GCP, AWS).

Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and deliver meaningful KPIs.

Implement row-level security, data refresh automation, and performance optimization for dashboards.

Maintain and enhance Power BI gateways, dataflows, and datasets in production.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance through validation and QA checks.

Contribute to the data engineering and analytics strategy by recommending best practices and automation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

3–8 years of hands-on experience with Power BI development and data modeling.

Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M language), and data transformation.

Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, joins, and complex query writing.

Experience integrating Power BI with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, or similar data platforms.

Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and data visualization principles.

Knowledge of Power Automate, Power Apps, or Python/R integration is a plus.

Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI) or Azure Data Engineer.

Experience working with enterprise BI environments, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with data governance frameworks and role-based access control.
