Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development:

  Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business stakeholders' needs.

• Data Integration and Modeling:

  Connect to various data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Excel, cloud services) and transform raw data into efficient data models using Power Query and data modeling techniques.

• Technical Implementation:

  Create complex calculations and measures using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) to support in-depth data analysis.

• Requirements Gathering:

  Collaborate with business users and analysts to understand data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.

• Performance Optimization:

  Troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize existing Power BI solutions for performance and scalability, including query optimization and data reduction techniques.

• Documentation:

  Develop and maintain technical documentation for all BI solutions, data models, and processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

• Experience:

  Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar Business Intelligence role, typically 2-5 years depending on the seniority of the position.

• Technical Proficiency:

• Strong proficiency in Power BI development, including Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Expertise in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• In-depth knowledge of DAX and the Power Query M-language.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts (e.g., dimensional modeling), and ETL processes.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification (PL-300) or other relevant certifications.
• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) or programming languages like Python or R for advanced analytics.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
