Power BI Consultant

As a Power BI Consultant at NTT DATA in Bangalore, Karnataka (IN-KA), India, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Developing and Maintaining Data Models: - Creating and maintaining data models that accurately represent business requirements by understanding data sources, designing relationships between tables, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. - Creating Reports and Dashboards: - Designing and building interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key business metrics and trends, selecting appropriate charts, formats, and layouts for effective data communication. - Data Analysis and Visualization: - Analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and visualizing them in an understandable and actionable manner for stakeholders. - Collaborating with Stakeholders: - Working closely with business users to understand their needs and requirements, ensuring that reports and dashboards meet their specific needs. - Ensuring Data Governance and Compliance: - Playing a role in ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and policies. - Troubleshooting and Optimization: - Identifying and resolving issues related to Power BI solutions, including data integration, performance tuning, and report accessibility. - Staying Updated with Industry Trends: - Keeping abreast of the latest Power BI features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously enhance reporting capabilities. Additional Responsibilities: - Data Integration: - Integrating data from various sources, such as SQL databases, Excel, and cloud-based systems, into Power BI. - Data Transformation: - Transforming data to prepare it for analysis and visualization within Power BI. - Technical Documentation: - Creating technical documentation to support the usage and maintenance of Power BI solutions. - DAX Calculations: - Utilizing DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to create calculated columns and measures for data analysis and reporting. - SQL Querying: - Employing SQL to query and retrieve data from databases. - Custom Visual Development: - Developing custom visuals in Power BI to fulfill specific reporting requirements. Skills Required: - Proficiency with Power BI tools: Strong understanding of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and other related tools. - Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and derive insights. - Expertise in DAX and SQL: Knowledge of DAX for calculations and SQL for database querying. - Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and users.
