Communication skills are must
MS SQL server - should be very strong
SSIS (SQL server integration services) -- very strong
SSRS (SQL server reporting services) - strong
power bi (especially DAX) - very strong
Datawarehousing experience - strong (if someone has worked on all above, they would be good at datawarehousing concepts)
SSAS (sql server analysis services) - intermediate to strong (if someone has all 5-6 above, then we are good to ignore this)
Any one programming language (like .Net, java, python etc.,) is good to have
