Power Automate Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop

  Power Automate Cloud Flows

  (scheduled, automated, instant) and

  Power Automate Desktop (PAD)

  RPA for UI automation where APIs are unavailable.
• Integrate across

  Dataverse, SharePoint, Outlook/Exchange, Teams, Excel/OneDrive

  , and external systems via

  standard/custom connectors

  (REST/Graph API).
• Implement

  error handling, retries/backoff, idempotency

  , and

  concurrency controls

  ; design

  child flows

  and pagination for performance.
• Configure

  unattended PAD

  : gateways, credentialing, environment set-up, run queues, and run-time monitoring.
• Build light

  Power Apps (Canvas)

  where needed to capture inputs/approvals; wire up

  Approvals

  and business rules.
• Create

  monitoring & alerts

  (flow run history, failure notifications, dashboards) and produce

  SOPs/runbooks

  .
• Follow

  ALM

  : solution packaging, environment variables, connection references, and

  Azure DevOps

  pipelines for export/import.
• Adhere to

  security & governance

  : DLP policies, environment strategy, Entra ID (Azure AD) roles, least-privilege access.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements (user stories), estimate effort, and deliver iteratively.
• Provide

  L2/L3 support

  for production automations (triage, RCA, fixes), and hand over to operations with documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on

  Power Automate (cloud + PAD)

  delivering production automations.
• Strong grasp of

  connectors

  ,

  custom connectors

  (OpenAPI/Swagger), and REST basics (auth, headers, pagination, throttling).
• Practical

  exception handling

  in flows/PAD, logging, and alerting.
• Data handling:

  Dataverse

  ,

  SharePoint lists

  ,

  Excel

  ,

  SQL

  (basic CRUD), JSON parsing.
• Documentation:

  PDD/SDD

  , test cases, and runbooks; familiarity with ITSM (e.g.,

  ServiceNow

  Azure DevOps Boards

  Jira

  ).
