Postgres DB | 3 to 6 Years | Remote | Work Timings: Standard IST Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL database solutions for applications and data platforms. Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers to support business logic. Monitor database performance, tune queries, and optimize indexing and schema design. Ensure data integrity and implement backup and recovery strategies. Manage user access and roles based on security best practices. Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patch management. Work closely with application developers to ensure seamless database integration. Create and maintain documentation related to data models, configurations, and procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications: 3–6 years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database development and administration. Strong knowledge of SQL and performance tuning. Experience with PostgreSQL tools (pgAdmin, psql, etc.). Understanding of database design concepts, normalization, and indexing strategies. Familiarity with data migration, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. Experience working in Linux/Unix environments. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues quickly and efficiently. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred (Good to Have): Experience with cloud-based PostgreSQL (e.g., AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL). Knowledge of other databases like MySQL, MongoDB, etc. Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation tasks.
