Description
As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems. Your role will involve working on a variety of systems including circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems to launch cutting-edge, world-class products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements. - Mix of Architecture, HW Systems, Functional Validation, Chipset integration & customer issue debug support - Define Top-Level specification involving HW/FW/SW level partitioning, HW Register interfaces, memory sizing, protocol selection, multi-PMIC connectivity grid, debug framework support - Develop a comprehensive functional validation plan covering both manual and scripted automated test cases - Analyze results at HW-level via signal measurements, debug issues, and create reports - Perform risk assessment of development and validation plans - Interact with various teams including PMIC Product Management, Design & Characterization teams, SoC HW/SW Architecture, Development & Validation teams, and Customer-Engagement teams - A Bachelor's degree in Electronics related Engineering is mandatory - Master's degree is preferred, especially with specialization in VLSI / Microelectronics, Power Management, etc. - 1-3 years of job experience relevant to various HW/S aspects of electronic product development - Knowledge of entire ASIC Flow from concept-stage to commercial-product support - Familiarity with fundamentals of PMIC, Power Management, Microcontroller architecture, basic-firmware & HW-SW interaction - Strong hands-on lab experience in Post-Si Validation - Good understanding of PMIC, Power Electronics, digital & embedded electronics concepts - Hands-on ability & comfort in using lab instruments like oscilloscopes, power supplies, JTAG debuggers etc. - Good Hardware Debug Skills related to DC-DC (SMPS, LDO) converters preferred - Programming skills in at least one of C#, F#, Python, Perl, LabVIEW or any other scripting language used in VLSI/Embedded Domain + understanding of few OOPS concepts - Ability to seek information pro-actively, understand priorities, and juggle multiple tasks in a highly paced environment - Experience in automating test-cases via SW-control for HW-systems - Exposure to Assembly-language programming (for microcontroller) is good-to-have - Exposure to tools like JIRA and GIT is a plus,
