Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Installation:
Assemble and install pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures for water supply, drainage, and sewage systems.
Repair & Maintenance:
Fix leaks, unclog drains, repair broken fixtures, and perform routine checks on systems like water heaters and boilers.
System Diagnosis:
Use diagnostic tools (like sewer cameras) to find problems in complex systems.
Code Compliance:
Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, safety regulations, and standards.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and understand technical drawings and blueprints to plan installations.

Preferred candidate profile

Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes using hand and power tools.
Connect pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or by soldering/welding.
Install appliances like washing machines and water heaters.
Collaborate with construction teams on new builds and remodels.
Provide cost estimates and prepare bids for jobs.

Essential Skills & Qualities

Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems and tools.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Physical stamina to stand, bend, and kneel for long periods.
Good communication to interact with clients and contractors.
Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
