PLM Senior Web Focus (Reporting) Engineer

As a Senior Power BI Engineer at Ford Motor Company, you will play a crucial role in modernizing and transforming the PLM landscape by migrating legacy, datacenter-based BI solutions to Power BI. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining BI applications to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and operations teams to deliver high-quality cloud-based solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize your expertise in Web FOCUS 8.* reports application to create reports, dashboards, and visualizations, and migrate Web Focus 8.* to Web Focus 9.* - Apply knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and Big Query optimization. - Integrate Web FOCUS with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) and Big Query on GCP. - Customize Web FOCUS reports using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. - Proficiently work with Google Cloud Platform Data Engineering services. - Implement data visualization best practices and UI/UX principles for BI solutions. - Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Optimize performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting of Web Focus reports. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of total experience with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Web FOCUS 8.* reports application. - Expertise in Web FOCUS 8.* and Web Focus 9.*, data modeling, and Big Query optimization. - Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for customizing Web FOCUS reports. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Familiarity with Google Cloud Data Engineering Services. - Knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting. - Experience with performance tuning and optimization of Web Focus reports. Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with ETL tools and data pipelines. - Web FOCUS certification or advanced training. - Experience with automation and scripting for report scheduling. - Knowledge of other BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau. In this role, you will work collaboratively with business stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver actionable insights through data visualization, and ensure data integrity, governance, and security across all reporting solutions. Additionally, you will document solutions, provide training and support to end-users and junior developers, and stay updated with the latest Web FOCUS and BI industry trends to enhance reporting processes.,
