Position - PLC Programmer

Roles and Responsibility

• Programming & Development:
• Design, develop, and modify programs for automation systems.
• Configure and program HMIs, SCADA, and other control devices.
• Write and optimize code for efficient machine/process control.
• Integration with Third-Party Systems:
• Configure and integrate RTUs/PLCs with third-party devices, MES/ERP systems, and industrial communication protocols
• Conduct compatibility testing and ensure seamless data exchange across platforms.
• Installation & Commissioning:
• Support installation, wiring verification, and commissioning of control systems.
• Upload, download, and test programs at the site.
• Ensure smooth integration of RTUs/PLCs with sensors, actuators, VFDs, and other devices.
• Testing & Troubleshooting:
• Conduct functional testing of control systems and verify logic.
• Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and communication issues.
• Provide root-cause analysis and corrective actions for system faults.
• Maintenance & Support:
• Provide ongoing support and preventive maintenance for PLC-controlled equipment.
• Perform software upgrades, backups, and version control.
• Ensure minimal downtime through timely troubleshooting.
• Documentation:
• Prepare and maintain PLC program documentation, wiring diagrams, and configuration details.
• Maintain revision history and change logs for future reference.
• Coordination & Communication:
• Collaborate with design, electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation teams to integrate automation solutions.
• Communicate with clients and project engineers regarding technical requirements and progress.
• Compliance & Standards:
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and client specifications.
• Implement programming practices that comply with ISO/IEC or relevant automation standards.
• Site Travelling (Occasional):
• Travel to client/project sites for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical support.
• Provide on-site training to operators and maintenance staff when required
