PLC & Macro Programming engineer

Role Overview: As a PLC Programmer in the machine tool industry, your main task will be to develop, test, and maintain PLC programs for various machine tool applications. You will also be responsible for creating and optimizing macro programs for specific machine tool functions and processes. It will be crucial for you to integrate PLC and macro programs with other machine tool components, troubleshoot and maintain systems, as well as document and collaborate with other team members to ensure safety compliance and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, test, and maintain PLC programs for various machine tool applications - Create and optimize macro programs for specific machine tool functions and processes - Integrate PLC and macro programs with other machine tool components - Troubleshoot and resolve issues in PLC and macro systems - Document PLC and macro programs, including functional specifications and system diagrams - Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operators for seamless integration and operation of automated systems - Continuously improve PLC and macro programs to enhance machine tool performance and efficiency - Ensure all PLC and macro programs adhere to safety standards and regulations Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in programming languages like ladder logic, function block diagram, and structured text - Experience with macro programming languages specific to machine tool controls - Familiarity with various PLC systems such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Fanuc - Experience in Human-Machine Interface (HMI) development for operator control and monitoring - Knowledge of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Understanding of machine tool operation, functionality, and safety procedures (Note: No additional details of the company were provided in the job description),
