Platform Engineering Manager - DevOps / Cloud Engineering

Role Responsibilities and Desired Profile : About the Role: Our client is seeking a skilled DevOps Manager to join their team and drive the automation, scalability, and security of our cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in DevOps practices, deep hands-on experience with AWS, and a thorough understanding of IT security as it applies to DevOps and cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to support agile development practices. Administer, monitor, and optimize AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.). Define and enforce security best practices across development and deployment environments. Automate infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Monitor systems performance, ensure high availability, and troubleshoot issues.Collaborate with developers, QA, and security teams to ensure safe and secure deployments. Implement security controls such as least privilege, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance monitoring. Conduct risk assessments and recommend enhancements to improve overall DevOps security posture.Stay current with AWS updates and security trends to proactively enhance systems. Required Qualifications: B/Tech/BE/MCA 8+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles. Strong expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure management. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or similar. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi. Solid understanding of IT security principles, especially in DevOps environments (e.g., IAM, secrets management, network security, vulnerability management). Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar. Familiarity with log aggregation, monitoring, and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog). Preferred Qualifications: AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect). Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA). Background in software development or SRE.Experience with GitOps practices.
