Role Overview

Responsible for designing, operating, and securing enterprise cloud infrastructure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) platforms. This role combines hands-on Azure administration, Kubernetes orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure platform services across distributed enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Azure Platform Administration:

  Manage subscriptions, resource groups, VMs/VMSS, App Services, Storage, and Recovery Services Vaults.

• Kubernetes Operations:

  Design, deploy, upgrade, and operate public and private AKS clusters, including node pools, autoscaling, Ingress (NGINX/AGIC), and CoreDNS.

• Cloud Networking:

  Architect and troubleshoot VNets, subnets, NSGs/ASGs, UDRs, Private Link/Private Endpoints, Load Balancers, and ExpressRoute/VPN connections.

• Identity & Security:

  Implement Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, PIM, managed identities, Key Vault secrets integration via CSI drivers, and Defender for Cloud compliance.

• Automation & CI/CD:

  Build and maintain IaC using Terraform or Bicep; automate delivery pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to enable self-service onboarding.

• Observability:

  Monitor platform and workload health using Azure Monitor for containers, Log Analytics, Prometheus, and Grafana, driving SLO/SLA targets.

Key Requirements

• Core Technical Skills:

  Microsoft Azure, AKS, Terraform/Bicep, Entra ID (Azure AD), PIM, VNet/Private Link, Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, and container security.

• Certifications (Mandatory):

  Either Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) OR Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).

• Certifications (Preferred):

  AZ-305, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, or CKS.

• Domain Advantage:

  Prior experience in regulated industries (Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Pharmaceuticals) is a plus.
