Platform Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Technical Design and Development

Provide technical expertise in design, coding, and system architecture

Develop and enhance the record-keeping platform using cloud technologies

Apply serverless architecture principles and AWS services to meet functional and non-functional requirements

Implement containerization solutions using Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business teams to identify requirements and improvements

Partner with global teams and central groups to deliver solutions aligned with business needs

Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and influence technical strategy

Cloud and DevOps Practices

Utilize AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, Route 53, CloudFront, and serverless offerings

Apply CI/CD principles using Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and related automation tools

Leverage generative AI, agentic and A2A frameworks for building, testing, and managing applications

Monitor and maintain Kubernetes clusters and DevOps pipelines

Programming and Scripting

Hands-on experience with Unix scripting, Python, and at least one programming language/framework (Java, NodeJS, or Python)

Implement test-driven development (TDD) and pair programming best practices

Work with APIs, caching mechanisms, messaging systems, and monolithic platform integration

Continuous Improvement

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize cloud solutions

Keep up to date with cloud engineering trends, tools, and techniques

Support knowledge sharing, mentoring, and professional growth within the team
