Key Responsibilities Assist in preparing, baking, and presenting high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes, and bakery items. Support the Chef de Partie in day-to-day pastry operations. Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning. Follow standard recipes, portion controls, and minimize wastage. Assist in developing new dessert and pastry items for menus. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the pastry section. Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards. Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef de Partie. Train and guide Commis Chefs in pastry preparation techniques. Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service. Requirements Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry, or related field. Minimum 23 years of experience in pastry & dessert section (hotel/restaurant/bakery). Knowledge of modern pastry trends, plated desserts, chocolate work, and bakery items. Strong eye for detail, creativity, and presentation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays as required. Show more Show less
