Plastic Part Designer

As a Plastic Part Designer at our company in Pune, you will be a valuable member of the product development team. Your expertise in designing injection-moulded plastic components for automotive, consumer goods, or industrial applications will play a crucial role in our projects. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and develop plastic parts using 3D CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, NX, or Creo - Create detailed 2D drawings with GD&T specifications - Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis for injection molding processes - Collaborate with tooling vendors for mold design reviews - Conduct material selection based on application requirements - Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and optimize part designs - Support prototype development and validation testing - Work with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and suppliers - Ensure designs comply with industry standards and customer specifications **Qualifications Required:** - B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Plastics Engineering or equivalent - 5-8 years of experience in plastic part/component design - Proficiency in CATIA V5, SolidWorks, NX, or Creo - Skills in GD&T, DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, material selection In addition to the mentioned qualifications, the following preferred skills would be advantageous: - Experience with Class-A surface design - Knowledge of plastic materials such as PP, ABS, PA, PC, POM, etc. - Familiarity with APQP, PPAP documentation - Exposure to EV/automotive components design - Good communication and problem-solving skills Join our team and contribute to the innovative design and development of plastic parts for various applications.,
