Plant3D Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Project Setup & Configuration:

• Create and manage Plant 3D projects including project locations and properties.
  
• Configure P&ID templates and standardised symbols, line types, and components.
  
• Set up and manage project databases for equipment, piping, instrumentation, and valve data.
  

• Data Management & Connectivity:

• Synchronize data between P&ID drawings and Plant 3D modules (models, isometrics, BOMs).
  
• Ensure data consistency across P&ID and 3D models and manage data import/export tasks.
  

• Smart P&ID Configuration:

• Configure tagging schemes for equipment, piping, and instrumentation.
  
• Define line numbers, equipment numbers, and custom attributes as per project standards.
  

• Reports & Data Extraction:

• Generate reports including BOMs, equipment lists, and piping specifications.
  
• Configure data extraction tools for integration with other systems.
  

• Customization:

• Customise templates, reports, and drawings to meet specific project needs.
  
• Create tool palettes and customise valves, instruments, and equipment blocks.
  

• Process Design & Drafting:

• Prepare process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and hydraulic flow diagrams.
  
• Interpret engineering mark-ups and update drawings accurately.
  
• Attend design review meetings and coordinate with proposal and process engineering teams.
  

Key Requirements

• Certified mechanical drafting course.
  
• 5-7 years of experience in process departments using Smart P&ID (implementation & usage).
  
• Strong knowledge of piping standards, classes, and materials.
  
• Experience with AutoCAD and 3D design software.
  
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure with high attention to detail.
  
• Working knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems.
  
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• International project exposure.
  
• Experience with customisation of Smart P&ID features and data management.
