Plant Manager

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

1. Operations Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations of grinding unit (Crushing, Grinding, classification, packaging as applicable).
• Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Ensure to Prepare and Share Daily Production Report DPR/MIS to Jaipur H.O.
• Optimize process parameters to maximize throughput, efficiency, and product quality.
• Implement and monitor SOPs for grinding, material handling, and plant utilities.
• Ensure lean Manufacturing,5s Methodology, Kaizen activities.

2. Maintenance & Reliability

• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure high equipment uptime.
• Implementation of Total Productive Maintenance.
• Review preventive and predictive maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and implement root cause analysis.
• Ensure proper monitoring of equipment such as Jaw Crusher, Pulverisers, Jet Mill,RM mill,Classifires, conveyors, feeders, Blending Silos and dust-collection systems, Forklifts, Air Compressor.

3. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

• Enforce safety guidelines, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance and ISO plant safety standards.
• Monitor emission and noise levels and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Lead risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigations.

4. Quality Management

• Ensure that grinding operations meet the required quality specifications.
• Work closely with the quality control laboratory to maintain product consistency.
• Implement corrective actions for quality deviations.
• Implementation of ISO.

5. People Leadership

• Manage and mentor supervisors, operators, and support staff.
• Plan manpower, training, skill development, and performance evaluations.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

6. Cost & Inventory Control

• Optimize energy consumption, grinding Spares usage, and other operational costs.
• Monitor raw material and spares inventory; ensure timely procurement planning.
• Drive cost-saving projects and process optimization initiatives.
• Monitor processing costs and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

7. Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on production, efficiency, downtime, and KPIs.
• Ensure to Prepare and Share Daily Production Report DPR/MIS to Jaipur H.O.
• Assist in audits, compliance reviews, and management meetings.
• Ensure documentation compliance as per ISO, internal, and statutory standards.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical understanding of grinding processes (Pulverisers, Crushers, Conveying System, Roller Mills, hammer mill, etc.)
• Knowledge of process optimization techniques (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in production planning and maintenance coordination.
• Leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Familiarity with automation systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA).
• Strong understanding of SAP, ERP software.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• More Than 10 years of experience in grinding unit operations (cement/mining/mineral processing/steel).
• Minimum 5-7 years in a Section Head or plant Head role.
