Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Bachelors / Masters degree in Food Technology, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or related field.

812 years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least 35 years in a plant management/senior production role.

Strong knowledge of production planning, food safety regulations, and quality standards.

Proven experience in manpower handling and achieving production targets.

Strong leadership & decision-making skills

Excellent communication & coordination abilities

Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO)

Problem-solving & troubleshooting skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred candidate profile

Production Management

Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to meet business targets.

Monitor production schedules, shift operations, and resource utilization.

Ensure production is cost-effective, efficient, and in line with quality standards.

Shift & Manpower Handling

Supervise and coordinate activities of shift supervisors and operators.

Allocate manpower effectively across different shifts and processes.

Resolve operational issues and ensure discipline, productivity, and motivation among employees.

Production Targets & Dispatch

Ensure timely achievement of production targets and dispatch schedules.

Coordinate with logistics, stores, and dispatch teams for on-time delivery of finished goods.

Maintain accurate records of production, wastage, and dispatch.

Maintenance & Equipment Management

Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure minimum breakdowns and maximum equipment uptime.

Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for machines and utilities.

Quality & Compliance

Liaise with QC to ensure product quality at every stage.

Implement GMP, Food Safety, and statutory requirements (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, etc.).

Address deviations, non-conformities, and customer complaints with corrective action.

People Management & Training

Lead, guide, and mentor the plant workforce.

Conduct training programs for operators and supervisors to improve skill levels.

Foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.

Reporting & Communication

Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, efficiency, and cost control.

Communicate effectively with management, quality teams, and cross-functional departments.
