Plant Engineer

As a Plant Engineer at our greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Ludhiana, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the engineering, installation, and operational readiness of utilities, process equipment, and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include: - Supervising and coordinating the construction, installation, and commissioning of plant utilities and process equipment such as HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, purified water, and steam. - Reviewing and approving vendor drawings, GA layouts, and equipment technical documents to ensure alignment with design intent and regulatory requirements. - Overseeing the design, sizing, and installation of HVAC, water systems, thermal systems, compressed air systems, and chillers and cooling systems. - Supporting the installation and validation of power distribution systems, MCC panels, VFDs, and coordination with automation teams for PLC, SCADA, and control systems. - Participating in IQ/OQ/PQ activities for equipment and utilities and ensuring compliance with GMP, ISO, and safety standards. - Planning preventive maintenance schedules, training operations staff, and developing SOPs for equipment operation and maintenance. Qualifications & Experience: - Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering. - Experience: 5-10 years in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing plant engineering. - Knowledge Areas: Utility system design, HVAC balancing, electrical load distribution, cGMP requirements, and project documentation. Key Competencies: - Strong technical and analytical ability. - Effective coordination between multidisciplinary teams. - Vendor and contractor management skills. - Excellent documentation discipline and attention to detail. - Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project, or equivalent software. Performance Metrics: - Timely completion of installation and qualification milestones. - System uptime and reliability post-handover. - Compliance in internal/external audits. - Cost control within approved budgets. - Quality of engineering documentation and drawings. The salary offered for this position is up to 6.5 Lakh CTC.
