Plant Electrical Design - HVDC Auxiliary

The auxiliary design engineer plays a crucial role in understanding the technical requirements for auxiliary power system networks to ensure the equipment and station receive adequate power without any interruptions, thereby maintaining the safety of the end equipment and HVDC station as a whole. Your responsibilities will include demonstrating expertise in designing MVS, LVS, Diesel Generator, Auxiliary/distribution Transformer, and battery systems. You will need to apply knowledge of design principles and relevant standards within the technical field of the department. Additionally, you will be responsible for tasks such as preparing SLD, List of loads/load list/feeder list, estimating material and equipment sizing for Diesel Generator & Auxiliary/Distribution transformer, and cable sizing for LV & MV. It will be essential to revisit processes and update them based on feedback, coordinate with project teams for necessary updates, support PLM activities, and ensure compliance with both external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. To excel in this role, you should hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of work experience in designing auxiliary power for substation/power plant/Oil and gas. Proficiency in Eplan or Elecdes, PLM Tools, NX or Teamcenter, and MS Office applications like Word and Excel is required. As a self-starter with strong attention to detail, you must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
