Job Description

Role & responsibilities An MEP Planning and Billing Engineer is responsible for both the planning and financial aspects of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in construction projects . This includes creating project schedules, monitoring progress, managing budgets, and ensuring accurate billing to clients. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Scheduling: Developing detailed project plans and schedules in alignment with project milestones and deadlines. Creating and managing billing schedules based on the project's scope of work and contract terms. Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks. Monitoring project progress against the planned schedule and updating timelines as needed. Billing and Financial Management: Preparing and submitting accurate invoices to clients based on the work completed and contract terms. Tracking project costs, ensuring budget compliance, and identifying potential cost overruns. Reconciling materials, verifying subcontractor bills, and ensuring accurate documentation for billing purposes. Maintaining records of tax invoices, delivery challans, and other relevant documents. Documentation and Reporting: Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to keep stakeholders informed about project status. Maintaining project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change orders. Generating project cash flow reports and PNL (Profit and Loss) statements. Communication and Coordination: Communicating with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth billing processes and address any discrepancies or issues. Facilitating communication between project teams and clients to address billing-related concerns. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, and billing processes. Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction processes. Proficiency in using project management software and tools. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
