Piping Checker

Working in a team led by Lead/Area Lead; Undertaking below tasks:

(1) Ensuring the quality of Piping deliverables viz.

• Piping Isometrics
• Piping GA drawings
• Pipe Support drawings
• Piping MTO

(2) Ensuring consistency between P&IDs, Line List and 3D model. Preparing layout-based P&ID mark-up (Physicalisation / Mechanization)

(3) Ensuring consistency between P&IDs and Equipment Vendor drawings. Vendor document review.

Knowledge Base / Soft Skills:

(1) Good understanding of:

(i) P&IDs

(ii) Equipment data sheets and Vendor drawings

(iii) Piping layout and routing fundamentals

(iv) Piping BOQ (MTO)

(v) Pipe supports

(vi) Nozzle Orientation principles

(vii) Accessibility and maintenance requirements of inline piping components

(2) Hands-on experience in:

(i) Quality requirements of:

• Piping Isometrics
• Piping GA drawings
• Pipe Support drawings
• Piping MTO

(ii) 3D model navigation in Navisworks.

Below experience will be an added advantage:

• Exposure to Brownfield / Turnaround / MOC projects involving interfaces with existing facilities. • Familiarity of relevant codes and standards.

• Awareness of Piping Material Specification (PMS) basics.

• Understanding and interpretation of CAESAR-II reports.

• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Paint.

Position specific requirements:

Sector Oil & Gas

(2) Educational Qualification Mechanical Engineering Diploma / Trade Certificate from a reputed institute.

(3) Software exposure Navisworks.

(4) Experience 8-13 years experience in Piping Engineering field. Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in Piping Detail Engineering of Oil & Gas and/or Chemical projects, executed on a 3D model platform.
