Pipe Stress Engineer-Onshore

You will be responsible for identifying different stress packages by reviewing P&IDs and Line Designation tables. Your role will involve conducting piping flexibility analysis for critical piping systems in both preliminary and detailed design phases of the Project. This includes analyzing sustained, thermal, and multiple operating cases, as well as occasional scenarios such as winds, seismic events, relief situations, and hammer effects. You will be required to perform pipe stress analysis for various equipment including Steam turbines, Compressors, Centrifugal Pumps, tanks, exchangers, heaters, and columns. Additionally, you will provide pipe loading information to the Civil/Structure team and address high pipe loads on equipment nozzles and high secondary stresses in piping. Your responsibilities will also include the selection of spring hangers, snubbers, and struts for pipe supports, as well as locating and identifying pipe supports on isometrics along with specifying the type of supports needed. You will be expected to evaluate local stresses using codes such as WRC107/297 or Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Furthermore, you will review and approve piping isometrics while considering flexibility and supporting requirements. You will also be responsible for preparing comprehensive documentation of the stress analysis and support design. In addition, you will participate in reviewing and verifying designs, drawings, and data from suppliers. It is essential for you to understand the role played by other disciplines in the project and provide technical direction while assigning work to engineers, designers, and drafters who are assisting on specific assignments.,
