Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 1. Teaching and Learning: - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physics lessons to students. - Develop and implement lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments. - Use a range of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. 2. Assessment and Feedback: - Assess student progress and understanding through regular formative and summative assessments. - Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their performance. 3. Curriculum Development: - Contribute to the development and implementation of the Physics curriculum. - Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share resources. 4. Departmental Responsibilities: - Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the Science Department. - Assist in the organization of science events, trips, and activities. 5. Pastoral Care: - Provide pastoral support and guidance to students. - Contribute to the overall well-being and safety of students. Requirements: 1. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related field. - Teaching certification or qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE). 2. Experience: - Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting. - Experience teaching Physics to students. 3. Skills: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to plan, organize, and deliver engaging lessons. - Strong subject knowledge and understanding of Physics curriculum. - Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning. Desirable Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics or a related field. 2. Experience with curriculum development and implementation. 3. Familiarity with educational technology and digital resources.
