Physics lab scientific

We are looking for a Physics Lab Assistant to support teaching, research, and experimental activities in the laboratory. The role involves preparing and maintaining lab equipment, assisting students and researchers during practical sessions, ensuring safety compliance, and providing technical support for experiments and demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, set up, and calibrate laboratory equipment and apparatus for physics experiments.
• Assist faculty, researchers, and students during practical sessions, demonstrations, and laboratory exercises.
• Maintain an inventory of laboratory supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of sensitive instruments.
• Monitor and enforce laboratory safety standards, including the use of protective equipment and safe practices.
• Support data collection and record-keeping for laboratory experiments.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing laboratory equipment when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment.
• Provide administrative support for scheduling lab sessions and preparing instructional materials.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques, instruments, and experimental methods in physics.
• Familiarity with using common lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrometers, lasers, power supplies, sensors).
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with laboratory protocols.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in electronics, instrumentation, or computer-based data acquisition.
• Familiarity with scientific software for data analysis (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Origin).
• Ability to support both teaching labs and small-scale research projects.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
