Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Physical Education Teacher to join our team at Adithya Global School. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of physical education, a passion for fitness and wellness, and a commitment to inspiring students to lead healthy and active lifestyles. As a PE teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students of various age groups, and developing engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field.

Valid teaching certification in Physical Education (if applicable in your state).

Strong understanding of physical education and sports principles.

Previous experience teaching physical education to children or adolescents is preferred.

CPR and First Aid certification (or the ability to obtain one upon hire).

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to create an engaging and positive learning environment for students.

Strong knowledge of health and wellness concepts, including nutrition and fitness.

Experience with adaptive physical education for students with special needs.

Coaching experience or certification in specific sports (e.g., basketball, soccer).

Teaching: Plan, organize, and implement a well-rounded physical education curriculum in line with state standards and school policies.

Instruction: Teach physical education classes, including sports, fitness, and health education.

Planning: Plan sports events, competitions, and other physical activities.

Assessing: Evaluate student performance through tests and assessments.

Classroom Management: Create a safe and respectful learning environment, managing student behavior effectively.

Skill Development: Promote physical fitness, motor skills development, and teamwork through age-appropriate activities.

Motivating: Encourage students to take up new sports or athletic pursuits.

Communicating: Communicate with parents about students' performance and provide insights into areas for improvement.

Ensuring safety: Ensure that children compete to their ability level and aren't exposed to unnecessary injury or illness.

Ensuring accommodations: Ensure accommodations and modifications are made for the growth and development of all students.

Ensuring cleanliness: Ensure that the physical education environment is clean, safe, and constructive for all students.

Attending events: Show up for critical school events, including staff meetings, open houses, and parent teacher conferences.

Assessment: Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback on physical skills and fitness levels.

Physical Fitness Programs: Organize and lead various fitness programs, sports events, and extracurricular activities such as school-wide fitness challenges or field days.

Safety: Ensure the safety of all students during physical activities, including appropriate use of equipment and facilities.

Health Education: Integrate lessons on nutrition, health, and wellness into physical education classes where appropriate.

Collaboration: Work closely with other faculty members to integrate physical education with other curriculum areas, such as science or health.

Communication: Regularly communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavior.

Professional Development: Stay current on trends and best practices in physical education and wellness education, attending workshops or training as needed.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position.

Must be able to lift, move, and set up sports equipment.

Occasional evening or weekend work for events, field trips, or after-school activities.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
