Job Summary:

The Physical Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging physical education programs that promote physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and overall student well-being. The role includes planning sports activities, coaching teams, organizing events, and ensuring that all students participate in physical exercises appropriate for their age and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and deliver physical education lessons according to the school curriculum.
• Teach students about the importance of physical activity, a healthy lifestyle, and sportsmanship.
• Conduct fitness assessments and track students’ progress.
• Coach and mentor students in various indoor and outdoor sports.
• Organize inter-house, inter-school, and annual sports events.
• Ensure the safety and proper use of sports equipment and facilities.
• Encourage student participation in extracurricular sports and fitness programs.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate physical education with academic learning.
• Maintain records of attendance, performance, and student conduct.
• Promote values of teamwork, discipline, respect, and fair play.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed / M.P.Ed) or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a PE teacher or sports instructor.
• Knowledge of a wide range of sports and physical training techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students.
• Certification in first aid or sports coaching (preferred).
• Good organizational and event management skills.

Work Environment:

• Requires active involvement in physical activities and sports events.
• Occasional travel for inter-school competitions or events.
