Position Title: Physical Education (Male/Female)

Institution: Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College

Location: Chennai

Qualification: As per Anna University / AICTE Norms

Key Responsibilities

• Record of strong involvement and proven track record of participation in sports, drama, music, painting, photography, journalism event management or other student/event management activities during college/University studies.
• Plan, organize, and conduct sports, fitness, and physical education classes for students.
• Encourage participation in both indoor and outdoor sports activities.
• Identify and nurture talent to represent the college in inter-college, university, and state-level competitions.
• Maintain sports equipment, playgrounds, and fitness facilities in good condition.
• Develop and implement structured training schedules for teams and individuals.
• Organize tournaments, sports day, and other athletic events in coordination with college authorities.
• Ensure students maintain discipline, sportsmanship, and safety during physical activities.
• Guide students on fitness, wellness, and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Maintain proper records of student participation and achievements in sports.

Eligibility (As per Anna University Norms)

• M.P.Ed. / B.P.Ed. (Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education) from a recognized University.
• Preference will be given to candidates with:
• Experience in handling Physical Education in higher education institutions.
• Representation at University/State/National level in sports/games.
• Knowledge of organizing tournaments and training sessions.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of physical education curriculum and sports sciences.
• Ability to coach and mentor students in multiple sports.
• Excellent communication and motivational skills.
• Strong organizational and event-management abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
