Photographer & Videographer

Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and technically proficient Videographer and Photographer to capture, produce, and edit high-quality visual content (both photo and video) that aligns with our brand and marketing objectives. This role is crucial for visual storytelling and creating engaging content for various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Production and Planning

• Concept Development: Collaborate with the creative/marketing team and clients to understand project briefs, objectives, and desired outcomes.
• Logistics: Research and secure appropriate shoot locations, participants, props, and necessary clearances/releases.
• Equipment Management: Plan, prepare, test, and transport all necessary photography, videography, lighting, audio, and support equipment.

Shooting and Production

• Visual Execution: Capture compelling and high-quality photography and video footage on location or in a studio setting.
• Technical Setup: Expertly set up and operate cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio equipment to achieve desired creative and technical specifications.
• Art Direction: Direct subjects, models, or participants to ensure they are at ease and to capture the intended emotional and visual narrative.
• Adaptability: Maintain flexibility to work in diverse, sometimes unpredictable, environments and quickly troubleshoot technical or logistical challenges on-site.

Post-Production and Delivery

• Editing: Edit, color-correct, retouch, and manipulate raw photo and video footage to create polished, finished products.
• Video-Specific: Integrate motion graphics, special effects, B-roll, music, and sound effects to create engaging video stories.
• Review & Revisions: Manage the review process, prepare proofs, and incorporate feedback from clients or team leads.
• Asset Management: Organize, archive, and maintain a comprehensive database of all digital assets (RAW files, finished content, etc.).

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Camera Mastery: In-depth knowledge of various camera systems, manual controls (aperture, shutter speed, ISO), and lens functionality.
• Lighting Expertise: Proficiency in both natural and artificial lighting techniques, including studio lighting setups (three-point lighting, etc.).
• Editing Software: Expert proficiency in industry-standard software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or similar tools (e.g., Final Cut Pro).
• Composition and Framing: A strong eye for visual composition, color theory, and an understanding of visual storytelling principles.
• Audio Proficiency: Basic to advanced knowledge of capturing clear, high-quality audio for video projects.

Soft Skills

• Creativity: A passion for visual arts and an ability to generate innovative, unique concepts.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with subjects/clients and effectively communicate instructions to a team.
• Organization: Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in everything from setup and shooting to the final editing and color-grading process.
• Problem-Solving: Resourcefulness and the ability to find creative solutions to technical or on-site production challenges.

Required Experience/Education

• Proven professional experience as a Photographer and/or Videographer.
• A strong, diverse, and up-to-date professional portfolio showcasing both photography and video work is essential.
