Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist / Sample Collection Technician to join our healthcare team. The role involves collecting blood and other laboratory samples from patients in a safe, hygienic, and efficient manner while ensuring a comfortable experience for them. Key Responsibilities Collect blood samples from patients using approved techniques (venipuncture, finger pricks, etc.) Collect other samples as required (urine, swabs, sputum, etc.) following standard protocols Verify patient identification and labeling of samples accurately Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of work area and equipment Follow all safety guidelines, infection control procedures, and PPE protocols Ensure proper storage, packaging, and transportation of samples to the laboratory Record and maintain patient and sample collection details in the system or forms Provide a calm and reassuring experience for patients during the collection process Coordinate with laboratory staff for timely sample processing Handle biohazardous materials safely and responsibly
