This role involves leading personnel, optimizing production processes, enforcing quality control standards, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and execute all fabrication projects, ensuring they meet specifications, quality standards, and deadlines. Optimize workflow, CNC and conventional machine programs and usage (e.g., cutting, bending, welding, and finishing) to maximize productivity and minimize waste. Oversee material procurement and inventory management of quality stainless steel, components, and consumables. Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles within the workshop. Ensure accurate interpretation and application of engineering drawings and technical specifications. Establish and enforce rigorous quality control protocols for all fabricated equipment, focusing on fit, finish, structural integrity, and adherence to food safety standards (e.g., NSF, HACCP compatibility). Inspect and approve finished products (e.g., industrial mixers, commercial ovens, refrigerated display cases, work tables, sinks, etc.). Troubleshoot technical issues related to material, machinery, or process during fabrication and ensure preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment. Stay updated on advancements in stainless steel alloys, fabrication techniques, and industry-specific regulations. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of welders, fabricators, polishers, and shop technicians. Conduct performance reviews and facilitate skill development and training for the workshop staff. Coordinate with the sales, design/engineering, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution. Develop and enforce strict shop safety procedures (e.g., fire safety, use of PPE, machine guarding) to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, particularly those related to safety and environmental standards. Oversee the regular maintenance and calibration of all fabrication equipment. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in stainless steel fabrication, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role. Proven experience working also with 304 and 316-grade stainless steel. A technical engineering degree and certification in welding technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred. Expert proficiency in various welding techniques (TIG and MIG) on stainless steel. Strong understanding of metal forming, cutting, and finishing processes. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and CAD drawings. Skill and knowledge of modern manufacturing machinery & equipment Familiarity with industry-specific equipment and standards for bakery (e.g., provers, racks), butchery (e.g., cutting tables, meat processing), and restaurant (e.g., commercial kitchens, ventilation hoods) equipment. Excellent leadership and team-building abilities. Proven ability to manage budgets and control production costs. This role has full responsibility for plant operations, including production performance, quality, financial results, material management, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership for a facility operating 46 injection molding machines (45850 tons) and managing a workforce of approximately 220 employees. Key Responsibilities Lead and optimize high-volume injection molding operations to maximize efficiency, uptime, and output. Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve OEE, reduce scrap, and enhance productivity. Oversee production planning, mold changeovers, preventive maintenance, and equipment utilization. Ensure strict compliance with quality standards for battery components, including ISO-based Quality Management Systems. Oversee quality activities such as PPAP, inspections, root cause analysis, and defect prevention. Manage polymer materials, particularly Polypropylene (PP) (virgin and recycled), including procurement and inventory control. Troubleshoot complex molding and process issues and lead technical teams to sustainable solutions. Provide leadership to production, quality, engineering, HR, and finance teams. Manage budgets, capital expenditures, and cost controls to meet plant P&L objectives. Maintain a safe, compliant, and positive working environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Plastics, Industrial, or related field). 10–15 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior plant or general management role in the field. Mandatory experience in high-volume plastic injection molding operations (preferably 40+ machines). Proven leadership experience managing large teams (200+ employees). Experience in battery, automotive, or other high-specification manufacturing environments preferred. Lean, Six Sigma, or quality system certifications are a plus. In-depth knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, quality systems, and polymer materials, with specific expertise in Polypropylene (PP) material science, plastic recycle and processing behavior. Proven experience in mold design review, including gate design, runner balancing, and venting optimization Strong expertise in mold engineering with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives Demonstrated ability to drive cycle time reduction and eliminate molding defects Solid understanding of mold maintenance standards and industry best practices to ensure tool longevity and performance Experience in process standardization, documentation, and implementation across manufacturing operations Must be willing to relocate and work in the Philippines for a minimum of 2-3 years or more.
