Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacist to manage the operations of our pharmacy. The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications, maintaining inventory, and complying with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and at least 2 years of experience in managing pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Medication Dispensing:
• Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions provided by physicians.
• Provide clear instructions and guidance to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Pharmacy Operations Management:
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, transactions, and inventory.
• Ensure proper storage of medications, maintaining required temperature and humidity levels.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Place orders for medications and supplies in a timely manner to ensure availability.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure the pharmacy complies with all legal and regulatory requirements, including maintaining updated licenses and documentation.
• Adhere to protocols for handling controlled substances and disposing of expired medications.
• Patient and Staff Support:
• Provide patient education on medication adherence and address any concerns or queries.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Training and Development:
• Train and supervise junior pharmacy staff or assistants as needed.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in pharmacology and healthcare regulations.
• Quality Assurance:
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy services.
• Implement safety checks to ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Valid registration with the Pharmacy Council of India or relevant state council.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in managing pharmacy operations.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, including psychiatric medications.
• Proficiency in maintaining pharmacy software and inventory management systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
