Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure correctness and legality.
Provide patient counseling on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage.
Maintain up-to-date patient and pharmacy records as per regulatory requirements.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory management of pharmaceuticals.
Adhere to all pharmacy laws, standards, and guidelines set by the Karnataka State Pharmacy Council.
Coordinate with healthcare professionals to clarify prescription details when required.
Monitor stock levels and manage orders to maintain optimum inventory.
Participate in audits, quality checks, and regulatory compliance activities.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the pharmacy.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm).
Valid Karnataka State Pharmacy Council License (Mandatory).
Minimum
1 year of experience
in a retail, hospital, or clinical pharmacy.
Strong knowledge of medications, brand/generic names, and drug interactions.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to accuracy.

Preferred Skills

Experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., PharmAssist, Medley, Liberty, etc.).
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if required.
