Pharmacist Assistant

As a Stock Maintenance Officer, your role involves ensuring the optimum stock level is maintained based on the patients" strength and the grade of the hospital. Your responsibilities include: - Maintaining basic drugs in stock. - Controlling incoming and outgoing stock. - Following proper methods for stock issue, such as the First in First out method. - Monitoring and controlling the expiry of medicines, ensuring that expired drugs are either returned to the distributor or discarded before 3 months of the expiry date. - Ensuring that expired medicines do not enter circulation. - Ensuring that IV medicines are Progen-free to avoid any toxic elements harmful to human health. - Maintaining a separate register for Scheduled Drugs, which are medicines sold against prescription. - Keeping track of the outgoing account for scheduled drugs. - Maintaining stock of life-saving drugs according to the hospital's grade. - Exercising control over drug purchases to manage stock effectively. Additionally, you may be required to perform any other tasks assigned by the management as needed. In terms of qualifications, the ideal candidate for this role should possess: - Prior experience in stock maintenance or a related field would be advantageous. - Knowledge of pharmaceutical inventory management practices. - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
