Pharmacist Aide

Job Summary:

The Pharmacist Aide will assist licensed pharmacists in the preparation, distribution, and inventory of medications. They will help maintain the pharmacy's day-to-day operations and ensure timely and accurate support for both patients and staff, while adhering to healthcare regulations and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
• Accurately label and package prescribed medicines.
• Maintain stock of medications and supplies; assist in inventory management.
• Ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals as per guidelines.
• Receive and arrange medicines and supplies as per storage protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pharmacy area.
• Assist in documentation and record-keeping tasks.
• Help answer basic patient inquiries and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Comply with all safety, hygiene, and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform other support tasks as assigned by the pharmacist or supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum: 10+2 or equivalent qualification; D.Pharm preferred.
• Previous experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of medicines and medical terminology.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Ability to work in a team and under supervision.
