Job Summary:

CITY GROUP OF INSTITUTION is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physics Teacher to join our dynamic science faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics and a commitment to fostering scientific inquiry and critical thinking in students. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and standards-based instruction in Physics at the high school level, preparing students for academic success and real-world application.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
• Teach physics concepts including mechanics, electricity, magnetism, thermodynamics, and modern physics.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to accommodate different learning styles.
• Prepare students for standardized assessments and/or AP/IB Physics exams (if applicable).
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement.
• Assess and evaluate student performance regularly through assignments, labs, projects, and exams.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
• Collaborate with other science faculty and school staff to support interdisciplinary learning.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Science Education, or related field.
• State teaching certification in Physics (Grades 9–12) or eligibility to obtain certification.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Physics or Education.
• Experience teaching high school Physics, including AP or IB courses.
• Familiarity with NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) or other relevant standards.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
