Job title: PGT Physics Teacher Job Description: The PGT Physics Teacher will be responsible for teaching students from Grades 10 to 12. This role requires a deep knowledge of the subject, as well as a commitment to inspiring both students and colleagues. The teacher should also have experience of working with students in bringing Physics to life by connecting it with real world examples, guiding students in Physics activities, helping set up Physics stalls during the science exhibition etc. The teacher should have a thorough understanding of Physics practical records as required by CBSE and conduct of projects. Key Responsibilities: Teach Physics to students from Grade 10 upto Grade 12 with a strong focus on preparing senior secondary students for CBSE board exams. Develop and implement well-structured lesson plans that promote a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and their applications. Mentor junior teachers in the department, providing guidance on best teaching practices and classroom management strategies to ensure high-quality instruction. Assess and track students progress through formative and summative assessments, offering constructive feedback to support their growth. Encourage students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, preparing them for academic success and real-world applications of Physics. Provide support in organizing and supervising Physics-related extracurricular activities, competitions, and projects. Actively participate in departmental and school-wide meetings, professional development workshops, and parent-teacher conferences. Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by school leadership, contributing to the broader life of the school. Qualifications and Skills: 1. Education: MSc/MA in Physics or a related field. B.Ed is mandatory. 2. Experience: 5 to 10 years in teaching Physics to senior secondary students. 3. Skills: In-depth knowledge of the CBSE curriculum for Grades 10 and 11. Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge students and help them excel in Physics. Fluency in English, with excellent communication and classroom management skills. Proven ability to mentor and guide junior teachers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment within the department.
