PGT English Teacher

As an English teacher for grades 6-9th following the CBSE curriculum, you will play a crucial role in inspiring a love for English language and literature among students. Your responsibilities will include: - Teaching English Language and Literature in alignment with CBSE guidelines. - Creating lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments that meet CBSE standards. - Conducting engaging and interactive classroom sessions tailored to different learning styles. - Covering grammar, comprehension, creative writing, prose, poetry, and drama effectively. - Preparing students for internal assessments, board exams, and other academic milestones. - Cultivating a positive classroom environment that promotes learning, collaboration, and respect. - Providing timely feedback on assignments, tests, and projects while maintaining accurate student records. - Supervising and guiding students in co-curricular activities such as debates, essay writing, elocutions, and literature clubs. - Collaborating with fellow teachers, academic coordinators, and school leadership to uphold academic excellence. - Staying abreast of CBSE curriculum changes and implementing best teaching practices. - Regularly communicating with parents about student progress and behavior. - Engaging in school events, workshops, staff meetings, and professional development activities. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors degree (B.A.) and Masters degree (M.A.) in English. - Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is mandatory. - Proven experience in teaching English at the high school level, preferably in a CBSE-affiliated school. Desired Skills and Competencies: - Proficiency in written and spoken English. - In-depth understanding of CBSE curriculum, assessment patterns, and evaluation techniques. - Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills. - Ability to motivate and engage students from diverse backgrounds. - Creativity, organization, and flexibility in lesson delivery. - Familiarity with educational technology tools such as smart boards and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
