PGT English Teacher

Role Summary

The PGT English Teacher is responsible for teaching English Language and Literature to senior secondary students (Classes 11 & 12), fostering critical thinking, communication skills, and a deep appreciation of literature, while ensuring excellent academic outcomes and holistic student development.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English Language and Literature to Classes 11 and 12 as per prescribed curriculum
• Plan and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons using modern teaching methodologies
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, question papers, and teaching aids
• Assess, evaluate, and record student progress through tests, assignments, and projects
• Prepare students for board examinations and competitive assessments
• Encourage reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills
• Integrate ICT tools, digital content, and innovative teaching practices
• Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment
• Participate in curriculum planning, academic meetings, and professional development programs
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress
• Support co-curricular activities, literary clubs, debates, and school events
• Follow school policies, academic calendars, and assessment guidelines

Qualifications & Experience

• Post Graduation (MA English) from a recognized university
• B.Ed. is mandatory
• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level preferred
• Freshers with strong subject knowledge may also apply (as per school policy)

• Excellent command over spoken and written English
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and mentor senior secondary students
• Familiarity with board exam patterns and evaluation schemes
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new teaching tools
• Team player with a positive and professional attitude

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
