PGT ENGLISH

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in English to teach students at the senior secondary level (Grades 11 and 12). The ideal candidate should be passionate about English literature and language, possess strong classroom management skills, and be capable of preparing students for board examinations and language proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English Language and Literature as per the curriculum guidelines (CBSE).
• Develop detailed lesson plans, engaging classroom activities, and effective assessment tools.
• Prepare students for board exams by providing focused instruction, practice papers, and feedback.
• Encourage student participation through debates, elocution, creative writing, and reading programs.
• Incorporate digital tools and modern teaching methods to create an engaging learning environment.
• Evaluate student progress through regular assessments and maintain academic records.
• Provide individualized support and remedial sessions to students needing extra help.
• Promote effective communication skills, critical thinking, and literary appreciation.
• Guide students in writing research papers, essays, and presentations.
• Participate in school functions, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development programs.
• Collaborate with colleagues for cross-disciplinary initiatives and school-wide literacy activities.

Educational Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in English (Literature or Language) from a recognized university.
• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) – mandatory.
• UGC-NET (optional).

Experience:

• 2–5 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level.
• Experience with board examination formats and marking schemes preferred.

Key Skills:

• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Strong understanding of literary texts, language skills, and grammar.
• Innovative teaching strategies that promote engagement and comprehension.
• Classroom management, communication, and student mentorship.
• Familiarity with e-learning platforms like Google Classroom, MS Teams, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
