PGT Computer Science Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons in computer science, programming, and digital literacy, while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This role involves planning, delivering, and assessing curriculum-aligned lessons that prepare students for the digital world.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver computer science lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
• Teach topics such as coding, algorithms, computer systems, and internet safety.
• Introduce students to programming languages such as Python, Scratch, Java, or HTML/CSS.
• Create an engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.
• Assess student performance through assignments, projects, tests, and participation.
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress with parents and school administration.
• Incorporate technology and real-world applications to make lessons relevant and impactful.
• Stay up to date with advances in technology and education best practices.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching credential/certification (state-specific requirements apply).
• Experience working with students in an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of computer science concepts and current technologies.

Preferred Skills & Qualities:

• Familiarity with modern ed-tech tools and platforms (e.g., Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
• Ability to manage a classroom and adapt to diverse learning needs.
• Creative, patient, and passionate about teaching.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
