PGT Chemistry

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching & Lesson Planning:

• Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons for senior secondary classes (Grades 11 & 12) in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
  
• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, and educational resources to ensure effective teaching.
  
• Deliver interactive lessons using modern teaching methodologies and techniques to stimulate student engagement and interest in Chemistry.
  

• Assessment & Evaluation:

• Develop and implement formative and summative assessments (quizzes, assignments, practical exams, etc.) in alignment with the curriculum.
  
• Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and areas for improvement.
  
• Maintain accurate records of students progress, assignments, and exam results.
  

• Student Support & Mentoring:

• Offer additional support to students who need assistance in understanding complex topics, through one-on-one tutoring or group sessions.
  
• Motivate and mentor students to excel academically and personally, encouraging them to develop a passion for Chemistry.
  
• Assist in preparing students for board exams, including practical and theory components.
  

• Curriculum Development & Innovation:

• Contribute to the ongoing review and development of the schools Chemistry curriculum, suggesting improvements and integrating innovative practices.
  
• Integrate technology and digital resources (e.g., interactive simulations, virtual labs) into lessons to enhance learning experiences.
  

• Laboratory Management:

• Oversee the proper use and maintenance of the Chemistry laboratory, ensuring a safe environment for students to conduct practical experiments.
  
• Ensure all necessary materials, chemicals, and equipment are available and in good condition.
  

• Collaboration & Professional Development:

• Collaborate with fellow teachers to share best practices, resources, and ideas for improving the educational experience.
  
• Participate in regular professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest trends and changes in Chemistry education.
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Educational Qualification:

• Masters degree in Chemistry (M.Sc.) from a recognized university.
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) is preferable.
  

• Experience:

• Minimum of [X] years of experience teaching Chemistry at the senior secondary level (Grades 11 & 12) in a CBSE-affiliated school.
  
• Proven experience in preparing students for board exams and in conducting practicals in a laboratory setting.
