5+ years of professional experience developing software is desired
Expert knowledge and experience in Perl preferred (Ruby a close substitute) and a willingness to work in Object-Oriented Perl are required.
Willingness and ability to work primarily in US-based hours (Eastern Time) as needed to maximize team collaboration
A deep understanding of web application programming and how web apps work in different stacks (experience with LAMP stack preferred).
Experience with software development tools and methodologies such as version control (git), testing, debugging, and documentation
Working knowledge of relational databases, database design, and SQL is critical; MySQL is preferred.
Flexibility and adaptability to adjust work schedule according to project needs and deadlines
Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and interpersonal skills
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred
