Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer Lead with strong expertise in Perl, PostgreSQL, and modern monitoring stacks like Prometheus and TICK. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that power mission-critical applications. Candidates with system architecture experience and exposure to Go are preferred Responsibilities: Design and develop robust backend systems and APIs. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and convert business needs into technical solutions. Own and maintain codebases, resolve bugs, and write high-performance SQL. Implement monitoring using Prometheus, TICK, and related tools. Document processes, perform root cause analysis, and support incident response. Contribute to improving software reliability, architecture, and scalability. Tech Stack: Languages: Perl (mandatory), Go (nice to have) Databases: PostgreSQL Monitoring: Prometheus, TICK stack Other Tools: Memcached, RabbitMQ (RMQ), Jenkins Environment: Linux Core Competencies: Strong coding skills in Perl Proficiency in PostgreSQL and writing optimized queries Solid understanding of system architecture and backend design Experience working in agile environments and using CI/CD tools like Jenkins Excellent communication and documentation skills.
