Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Performance Lead / Architect to join our team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, execution, and analysis of performance testing solutions, ensuring the scalability, performance, and reliability of enterprise applications. You will utilize tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter to conduct comprehensive performance assessments, identify bottlenecks, and recommend performance optimization strategies. As a leader, you will also be responsible for mentoring a team of performance engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Test Planning & Strategy:
Lead the development of performance test plans and strategies for client applications, including defining performance goals and benchmarks.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand performance requirements and ensure testing is aligned with business goals.
Conduct risk analysis and determine potential performance bottlenecks early in the development lifecycle.
Performance Testing & Execution:
Design and execute performance test scripts using LoadRunner, JMeter, and other industry-standard performance testing tools.
Conduct Load, Stress, Soak, Scalability, and Endurance testing to evaluate system behavior under various load conditions.
Identify and replicate production-level scenarios to validate the performance of applications in real-world conditions.
Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze test results to identify performance bottlenecks and scalability issues.
Provide in-depth performance analysis reports, highlighting key findings, potential risks, and areas of improvement.
Work closely with development teams to suggest and implement performance optimizations.
Performance Tuning & Optimization:
Lead the efforts for root-cause analysis of performance issues and provide actionable insights to optimize application performance.
Recommend infrastructure, code, or configuration changes based on performance findings.
Ensure performance improvements are sustainable and align with long-term system growth strategies.
Leadership & Mentoring:
Lead and mentor a team of performance engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to junior team members.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement in performance testing processes and tool usage.
Collaborate with other architects, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Continuous Improvement:
Keep up to date with the latest trends and best practices in performance engineering and testing.
Evaluate and introduce new tools and techniques to enhance the teams capabilities.
Drive the adoption of performance best practices across projects and initiatives.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 8-15 years of experience in performance engineering and testing with a deep understanding of performance tools and methodologies.
Tools: Expertise in LoadRunner and JMeter for performance testing and analysis.
Testing Techniques: Strong hands-on experience with Load Testing, Stress Testing, Endurance Testing, Scalability Testing, and Bottleneck Identification.
Performance Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and address performance bottlenecks.
Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, or Shell Scripting for test automation and performance scripting.
Performance Optimization: Deep understanding of application performance tuning, database performance optimization, and network performance analysis.
Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for performance testing in cloud-based environments.
Tools Integration: Experience integrating performance testing tools with CI/CD pipelines.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present performance findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Team Leadership: Experience leading and mentoring performance engineering teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Desirable Skills:
Automation Tools: Familiarity with performance testing automation tools like Gatling, NeoLoad, or similar tools.
DevOps: Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
Application Servers & Databases: Familiarity with performance optimization for web servers, app servers, and databases (e.g., Apache, Tomcat, SQL Server, Oracle).
Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in performance testing or architecture (e.g., LoadRunner certification, JMeter certification, etc.).
