Performance Test Lead

As a Performance Test Lead at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of location strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality, and governance standards. Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize Performance Testing Tools & Frameworks such as LoadRunner, Jmeter, or similar tools for load, stress, and volume testing - Demonstrate a deep understanding of Java Spring Boot Microservices Architecture, including microservices performance characteristics, inter-service communication, and distributed system bottlenecks - Proficiently analyze Database Performance, focusing on Oracle database performance tuning, query optimization, connection pooling, and database monitoring tools - Experience testing and analyzing Kafka & Message Queue Performance, including Kafka clusters, message throughput, consumer lag, and event-driven architecture performance - Showcase Team Leadership & Management skills by leading, mentoring, and managing performance testing teams of ~5-7 engineers across multiple projects Qualifications Required: - Experience with APM & Monitoring Tools like AppDynamics or Prometheus/Grafana - Ability to integrate performance tests into DevOps & CI/CD pipelines and implement shift-left performance testing practices - Understanding of Containerization Performance, including Docker/Kubernetes performance implications and container orchestration impact on application performance - Proven track record in establishing performance testing standards, best practices, and governance frameworks across the organization This role is based out of Pune.
