Performance Test Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Strategy & Planning:
• Design and implement comprehensive

  performance test plans

  and

  strategies

  for complex software systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and non-functional requirements (NFRs).
• Define workload models and performance goals (e.g., response time, throughput, resource utilization) for various test types (load, stress, endurance, scalability).
• Test Development & Execution:
• Develop, script, and maintain performance test scenarios for both

  UI

  Load

  Tests

  and

  API Load Tests

  using advanced techniques to simulate real-world user behavior.
• Utilize and maintain proficiency in performance testing tools such as

  K6,

  Apache JMeter, LoadRunner

  , and other relevant open-source tools.
• Integrate performance tests into the

  CI/CD

  pipeline

  for continuous performance validation.
• Analysis & Tuning:
• Execute performance tests and meticulously

  monitor

  system

  performance metrics

  (CPU, memory, I/O, network, etc.) on application, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Analyze test results to accurately

  identify

  and

  isolate

  performance bottlenecks

(e.g., inefficient code, database queries, resource contention).

• Collaborate closely with development, architecture, and DevOps teams to provide

actionable

• Reporting & Mentorship:
• Create detailed, clear, and concise

  performance test reports

  for technical and non-technical stakeholders, summarizing test results, identifying risks, and proposing mitigation strategies.

• Mentor

  and

  guide

  junior team members on performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Playwright & Selenium

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in dedicated performance testing and engineering roles.
• Proven ability to lead performance testing for large-scale, enterprise-level applications.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills to dive deep into performance issues.
