Your Impact As a Performance Engineer, you will: Formulate solutions via creative tooling, AI, ML models, and analysis, addressing performance issues that could lie in the infrastructure, frontend, services, database, integration, device, CDN, or massive code bases catering across multiple regions. Qualifications: Your Skills & Experience Experience: 4+ years of experience in end-to-end performance testing and engineering frameworks of complex enterprise applications. Scripting & Tools: Expert in designing advanced test scripts (modular scripting, JavaScript, Scala, Python, etc.) and utilizing industry-leading load testing tools such as Gatling, JMeter, K6, Neoload, BlazeMeter, SOASTA, and LoadRunner . Architecture Proficiency: Proficient in designing test scripts for applications utilizing monolithic and microservices architecture , employing industry-standard protocols including HTTP/HTML, API, and webservices. Frontend Performance: Hands-on experience in frontend and client-side performance testing , leveraging tools like Lighthouse, WebPageTest, and Sitespeed to drive significant performance improvements. Distributed Load Testing: Experience in setting up and configuring distributed load testing frameworks on cloud platforms. Workload Modeling: Design and deliver workload models using Little's Law . Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs): Strong understanding of NFRs and experience in preparing test closure reports. Application Monitoring: Experience in application monitoring and reporting using tools such as AppDynamics, DynaTrace, New Relic, CloudWatch, AppInsights, Stackdriver, Datadog etc. Debugging/Analysis: In-depth knowledge of thread lifecycles, thread/heap dumps, and application logging. Mobile Performance: Foundational understanding of mobile native app performance testing on real devices with tools such as BrowserStack, PCloudy, and Perfecto. CI/CD Integration: Good grasp of integrating load testing tools into CI/CD pipelines and establishing frameworks within platforms like Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps etc. Cloud & Microservices Fundamentals: Familiar with containerization solutions such as Docker and Kubernetes, proficiency in Linux commands, and experience with microservices and version control systems like Bitbucket. Cloud Providers: Skilled in working with at least one of the leading cloud providers GCP/AWS/Azure . Generative AI: Hands-on experience with GenAI tools, large language models (LLM), machine learning, and prompt engineering to enhance automation and data-driven approaches. Set Yourself Apart With Platform Exposure: Experience with AEM/SiteCore, ATG/Hybris/WCS/Magento. Database Tuning: Good hands-on experience on tuning Oracle/MySQL/SAP Hana/MongoDB/DB2. Microservices Optimization: Good hands-on experience on micro-services and optimizations. Scripting Languages: Additional scripting language exposure in JavaScript/Scala/Python/Shell. Cloud Certification: Certification in at least one of the leading cloud providers - GCP/AWS/Azure. Security Knowledge: Understanding of security principles, practices, and protocols such as encryption, authentication, authorization. Security Testing: Experience with vulnerability scanning, threat detection, and risk assessment tools. Penetration Testing: Ability to perform penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks across applications, services, and networks.
